Residential Snow Removal Terms & What to Expect

Full-Season Snow Removal Terms of Service​​

  • Sylvester Concrete Solutions provides full-season snow removal service from November 1 through April 15.

  • Snow removal is triggered when 1.5" or more accumulates from a single snow event on paved surfaces. Smaller events are not combined, and snowdrifts do not count toward the trigger.

  • Our goal is to clear driveways within 12 hours after the storm has ended, weather and conditions permitting.

  • During larger storms of approximately 6" or more, we may make an initial pass during the storm to maintain access, followed by a final clearing after the storm.

  • We do not clear within 18 inches of garage doors or other fixed obstacles. This buffer helps prevent damage to structures and equipment. Hand shoveling within these areas can be added for an additional fee if desired.

  • If vehicles are parked in the driveway, they must be parked as far to the right side of the driveway as reasonably possible. We will clear the left side only, while maintaining a safe distance from vehicles and other property. If vehicles are not positioned on the far right side of the driveway, we will not perform snow removal service.

  • Driveways should otherwise be accessible and free of trailers, garbage cans, decorations, toys, and other objects. We cannot wait for vehicles or other items to be moved once we arrive.

  • A Sylvester Concrete Solutions yard sign will be provided and must remain in place for the entire snow season. If the yard sign is removed, relocated, or otherwise unavailable, service may not be performed.

  • Driveway guide stakes will be installed by Sylvester Concrete Solutions and must remain in place for the entire snow season. These markers are important for safely identifying driveway edges and obstacles under snow. If stakes are removed or displaced, our ability to safely provide complete service may be affected.

  • Gravel driveways may be skipped or lightly cleared until the ground is sufficiently frozen to prevent damage.

  • If warm weather is expected to melt the snow below the 1.5" service trigger within 24 hours after the storm ends, we may choose to skip that service.

  • Standard seasonal service includes driveway clearing only. Walkways, sidewalks, and other areas may be available for an additional charge.

  • Salting and/or sanding can be added for an additional fee. Salt and de-icing products may cause damage or discoloration to concrete, asphalt, landscaping, vegetation, flooring, and other property. Sylvester Concrete Solutions is not responsible for damage caused by the application or use of salt or de-icing products.

  • City plow berms at the end of the driveway will be addressed after the city has completed its final plowing pass.

  • Snow removal does not guarantee bare pavement. Ice, packed snow, and freezing rain may remain and are the customer's responsibility to address.

  • Service may be delayed or skipped when conditions are unsafe for our crew or equipment.

  • Sylvester Concrete Solutions is not responsible for injuries that occur on the customer's property. Customers are responsible for maintaining safe conditions on their property, including areas that may remain icy or snow-covered.

  • Customers are responsible for marking hidden obstacles and notifying us of any changes to the service area.

  • Damage concerns must be reported within 48 hours of service and should include photos whenever possible.

  • Payment options: Pay in full at the time of purchase to receive our best seasonal pricing, or choose two installments, with the final installment due November 15th.

  • Cancellations: Cancellations are eligible for a 25% refund of the seasonal service price. No refunds will be issued for cancellations for any reason after December 1st.

  • If we have availability, we may accept new driveway clients throughout the snow season at a prorated rate based on the remaining portion of the season.

  • Seasonal service is available November 1 through April 15 only. We do not provide pre-season or post-season snow removal as part of the seasonal program.

  • Our goal is simple: dependable snow removal and safe access to your property throughout the winter.
